VW’s New Branding – Will Customers Buy It?

As we all know, Volkswagen (VW) suffered one of the biggest scandal in its 78-year history following the revelation that it used software to deceive US regulators when measuring toxic emissions in some of its diesel cars. VW’s PR response at the time drew sharp criticism from regulators, customers and politicians. VW’s CEO, Matthias Mueller, stated publically that he would be “ruthless” in punishing those involved.
